Description |
This inscription was carved on the wall of Hezekiah's tunnel, at the point where the workmen tunnelling from opposite directions met. Hezekiah blocked up the springs outside the walls of Jerusalem in preparation for Sennacherib's siege, but tunneled from the Gihon Spring outside of the walls to the Pool of Siloam within the walls. |
