Description |
The firearms with Percussion Mechanism were developed by the Reverend Alexander John Forsyth. In the spring of 1805 he developed a mechanism that utilized the powder flash of a minute particle of mercury fulminate, being stuck by means of the hammer-lock. They had greatest development during the 19th century, seeing their advantages, specially the quickness of firing. |
